Full Cycle Breakdown

The Resurgence Cycle shifts from pure base building to a balanced approach touching pure strength, power expression, and strict gymnastics capacity. New formats include strength-based AMRAPs, complexes, and Monday Mash-ups.

💪Strength

Block formats, frequency, and overarching goals.

MONDAY

Alternates between Squat strength and Mash-ups with multiple squat variations combining strength + conditioning.

TUESDAY

Gymnastics skills with a bias every other week toward Strict HSPU to train for the 5-min AMRAP test.

WEDNESDAY

Olympic Lifting day — snatches and clean & jerks in varied formats: complexes, positional lifts, or percentage work.

THURSDAY

A weeks: Upper body pulling strength. B weeks: More time for longer conditioning.

FRIDAY

Consistent deadlift focus throughout the cycle, leading to a 1RM test at the end.

SATURDAY

Overflow strength day focused on bodybuilding and core strength to complement the weekly partner workout.

Fitness Path Notes: Tuesdays shift to strict DB pressing and strict gymnastics. Wednesdays replace Olympic lifting with power and explosive training for a similar stimulus without the complexity.

Full Cycle Breakdown

The Persist Cycle puts the year's base building to work — shattering plateaus with more complex strength work, higher-skill movements like the snatch, and increased strength-endurance across barbell and gymnastics. A/B weeks add variance while primary tests stay linear and measurable.

💪Strength

Block formats, frequency, and overarching goals.

MONDAY

Squat Snatches — building towards a 1RM test at the end of the cycle.

TUESDAY

Alternates between Core strength on longer conditioning days and Bench Press building to a 5RM test.

WEDNESDAY

Varied Skill Day — 3 options each week: Endurance, Skill, and Strength so every athlete targets their limiting factor.

THURSDAY

Primarily an endurance day, also includes upper body pulling bodybuilding.

FRIDAY

Strength-endurance focus — alternating between Power Clean + Jerks and Front Squats to hit multiple styles of strength.

SATURDAY

Overflow strength day — Mixed Upper Body Strength to complement the weekly partner workout.

Fitness Path Notes: Athletes build toward a 3RM Back Squat rather than snatching. Strict gymnastics strength options replace the high-skill Wednesday session.

🔥Metcon

Conditioning formats, time domains, and tests/retests.
